Beachwalk is also film-friendly, providing backdrops for interior or exterior commercial photographers and filmmakers twelve months a year.
Driving Directions
- From Downtown Chicago (Northwest)
- Travel East on I-94 to Chicago Skyway (around 63rd Street – you’ll need to get onto local lanes to make your exit). Once you’re on the Chicago Skyway, you’ll cross the Skyway Toll Bridge ($2.00) and continue onto Indiana Toll Road (1st toll is $0.50) for 20 miles and exit as the Toll Road Intersects with I-94 again at Lake Station (toll is $0.30)
- Take I-94 East for 20 miles to Exit 34B to U.S. 421 (North) to Michigan City.
- Hwy. 421 becomes Franklin Street when you cross Hwy. 20. Just keep going straight (North)
- Stay on Franklin until you come to 11th Street. (You’ll know 11th Street because railroad tracks run down the middle of the street.)
- Turn right on 11th Street for only one block. Then turn left (North) on Pine Street.
- Stay on Pine Street going North. You’ll cross Hwy 12. Stay in the right lane after you cross Hwy 12. This will take you over a bridge, through Washington Park, and past the Zoo. You’ll come to a stop sign. Just keep going straight – you’ll be on Lake Shore Drive. Beachwalk is approximately ¾ mile past the stop sign on the right side. You can’t miss our white fence and flowers at the entrance to Beachwalk. Look for large white 5 sided building with classical column.

- Travel west on Interstate 94.
- Take Exit 40B (U.S. 35/U.S. 20) going west. You will be 8.2 miles from Beachwalk.
- Take first exit (Indiana 212) North (right hand turn) to U.S. 12 (approximately 4 miles).
- Turn West (left) onto U.S. 12 to Karwick Plaza (approximately 1.7 miles).
- Turn North (right) onto Karwick Road. It will become Chastleton Drive.
- Turn West (left) onto Lake Shore Drive “Dead End Stop.” Beachwalk is approximately 1.7 miles.
- Turn left onto Beachwalk Lane, our office is located in the 2nd block on the left, 202 Beachwalk Lane. Look for large white 5 sided building with classical column.
- From Northern Ohio (East)

- Take 80/90 from Cleveland into Indiana. Go to the exit at US Hwy. 421. Go North to Michigan City (This is a left turn at the end of the exit.)

- Travel North on I-65 to Brookston Exit, Hwy 43 (3rd Lafayette Exit).
- Hwy 43 will become U.S. 421. Follow U.S. 421 (North) through Michigan City.
